Excessive jaw muscle

There aren’t many situations in which a person would complain about excessive muscle, but one such case is where the lateral cheeks are excessively prominent due to bulging of the jaw muscles (“masseters”).

Thick masseter muscles can give an excessive angularity to the face just in front of and below the ears.

Treatment is easy with muscle-relaxing injections (Agent B/D). These will reduce the activity of the masseter muscles which subsequently become thinner and less prominent, leading to a more oval outline to the face; something most people prefer. Meanwhile, the masseter muscles maintain more than enough strength to do their job, which is to chew.

The Agent B/D doses required are small so the treatment is affordable.
